We know nobody’s really naming their children after a Savvy Rest mattress, but we couldn’t resist the most unusual story we’ve heard so far about why one of our customers needed a new casing! Read this touching birth story, shared with us by a very happy Mom.
We know nobody’s really naming their children after a Savvy Rest mattress, but we couldn’t resist the most unusual story we’ve heard so far about why one of our customers needed a new casing! Read this touching birth story, shared with us by a very happy Mom. “One recent evening, we had been eagerly awaiting the birth of our fifth child and I was two days overdue. The children were asking me every hour when they would welcome their new baby. After some light housework and while feeding our twins supper, I began having easy contractions at 5:30pm. I called my husband and oldest sons, who were out working, to let them know that perhaps by tomorrow the new baby would arrive. They headed home with intentions of helping me finish the housework and having a nice supper together. Around 6:15 pm, they piled in and began some evening chores. Shortly after they arrived I had the first painful contraction. Almost immediately, contractions were intense and back-to-back. I focused on labor while my family bustled around getting things ready. I knew right away that this birth would be much faster than any of my others, but I had no idea just how fast! I was unable to move very far without another contraction coming, so my oldest son helped me over to our bed just as my mother arrived. With only my loving family in attendance, Madeline Serenity was born at 7:37pm. She weighed seven pounds, 13 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Although her birth did not go as planned, it was perfect just the way it was. Some people say that the kitchen is the “heart” of their home, but for our family it is our bedroom and more specifically, our bed. It is a comforting and even sacred space where we snuggle our children for afternoon naps, read, laugh, love and play together. I can’t imagine anywhere more appropriate to welcome our new daughter into the world.” –Sarah C.
We hope Sarah is finally getting a good night’s sleep! And little Madeline, too. Our very best wishes to the happy family.
