Do you have a bed frame that you absolutely love? Maybe it’s one that was passed down from a relative or it’s a beautiful antique that you stumbled upon unexpectedly (aren’t those the best finds?). Or maybe it’s just brand new and awesome and you really don’t feel like replacing it but you want to purchase a latex mattress. Whatever the case, we have a new product that we think you might be interested in—our platform bed insert.
The insert is carefully crafted in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Savvy Rest woodshop with natural maple and poplar wood. We’re all about quality construction and sturdy designs that you can rely on. It’s also super easy to assemble because we think complicated instructions and countless tools are unnecessary and just painful. We wanted to create a product that was high-end, effective and safe, but also affordable and stress-free. So, how exactly is this insert useful? Keep reading.
It’s important that our organic mattresses have the support and airflow they need. A traditional box spring usually does not allow for this. Latex is on the heavier side and has the ability to crush a box spring if said box spring is flimsy or unstable (and let’s be honest--a lot of them are). If you’re investing in a new mattress, you want to make sure that it’s taken care of properly. Mattress pads are helpful as well as keeping your evening cup of chamomile tea on the nightstand instead of splattered all over your cozy oasis. But what about what your mattress “sleeps” on? We recommend sturdy, wooden slats that are 2.5"-3" apart. This gives the mattress the stability it needs as well as breathability so your mattress can stay in tip-top shape for years to come.
